Hi, I’m John   I was always a self reliant individual. I started painting yard statuary for my mother and neighbors when I was eight.  I worked with a carpenter over the summers starting at age 10 as a go’fer and painting the railings and floors of porches on old stately Victorian and Craftsman style homes in Pennsylvania.

At 28, I decided to take the leap and start my own business in the Washington DC area.  I started out as a painter and fix-it company and evolved into disaster insurance claims business.

I sold that business in 1999 and moved to NC in 2003 and started buying, renovating and selling houses.

After a couple of houses I decided to start a Handyman services company of my own. What makes Handyman Etc. different than other similar businesses in Charlotte is I offer top notch service and reliability.

I am personable,  trustworthy, experienced and knowledgeable in many of the trades required to be proficient as a handyman.

I love the diversity of homes in the Charlotte area from the stately colonials and the craftsman styles in many parts of the city to the newer homes in the suburbs.
